Governor Polis recommends wearing cloth face coverings when out doing essential tasks.
Today, Governor Polis recommended that everyone wear a cloth or homemade face covering when out in the community. Many people are not aware that they are spreading COVID-19 because they don’t have symptoms or their symptoms are very mild. A face covering helps lower the risk of spreading the virus by someone who may be sick without realizing it.
• Homemade face coverings can be made out of materials you have at home
o Do not purchase surgical masks. These are needed by our healthcare workers and first responders
• Wash your hands before and after putting the covering on or taking it off
• When wearing the covering, avoid touching your face or the covering
• Wash your face covering daily with soap and water. Let it dry completely before wearing it again
